What can I do myself to resolve a malfunction?Restart the various devices in this order: your internet connection modem, any routers/switches, wait a few minutes, and then restart all telephones by disconnecting the power for at least 15 seconds. Do NOT interrupt the startup of the telephones!Check if anything has recently changed in the network, such as a new modem, a new router, or an updated firewall. Which SIP server do I use to register my SIP client on the Voxigo platform?Use: sip.voigo.nl for this.Which STUN server do I use to register my SIP client on the Voxigo platform?Use stun.voxigo.nl for this.Which NTP server can I use for my SIP client?Use ntp.voxigo.nl for this. How does Voxigo handle audio streams?Voxigo transmits audio streams (RTP) via a random port within the range 10,000 to 20,000 from an IP address within the IP ranges used by Voxigo. The audio stream is sent to the port specified by the device, unless the platform detects that the router uses NAT port translation . In that case, the translated port is used automatically.Voxigo also expects incoming audio streams on a port assigned per call within the range 10,000 to 20,000 .Please note: the platform can only determine that a router is applying port translation once the device actually transmits audio data. As a result, the first few seconds of the audio may be missing at the start of a call. How does Voxigo handle SIP messages?By default, Voxigo sends SIP messages via port 5060. When a device connects via port 38388 , Voxigo will also handle the SIP communication via port 38388 .The SIP messages are sent from sip.voxigo.nl to the port specified by the device. When NAT port translation is detected, Voxigo automatically uses the translated port. The Voxigo platform listens for SIP traffic on both:Gate 5060Gate 38388How does Voxigo handle NAT and port translation? When multiple SIP phones are located behind a single router, the router will in most cases apply NAT port translation . As a result, the router uses different port numbers on the public side than the phones use internally. As a result, it is not possible to determine in advance exactly which source ports the Voxigo platform will see for both SIP and RTP traffic. For a stable connection, it is important that:the router's NAT table is sufficiently large;the timeout of NAT entries is longer than the registration interval of the SIP device. If the router removes NAT entries too quickly, incoming traffic from the Voxigo platform may be blocked before it reaches the device. If necessary, you can adjust the registration interval of your SIP device so that it is shorter than the time during which the router stores NAT entries. This ensures that the NAT session remains active and the telephony connection continues to function reliably. Please note: replace the server names ( sip.voxigo.nl , stun.voxigo.nl and ntp.voxigo.nl ) only when they have actually been created in Voxigo's DNS. The mentioned IP addresses and IP ranges must also be adjusted if Voxigo uses infrastructure other than the original platform.

To use VoIP, special telephone sets are required. VoIP telephones are available in all shapes and sizes, from a simple desk phone to sophisticated reception and secretary phones. Cordless (DECT) phones are also an option. Most devices can be expanded with, for example, a (wireless) headset or an expansion module for additional speed dial keys, for instance for use as a reception phone.VoIP telephones are connected using a standard CAT5 network cable (or CAT 5e or CAT 6). This is the standard connection for the computer network in most companies. Every standard ADSL modem and router has CAT5 connections. Home workers can therefore easily connect their VoIP device to the home network.Which hardware is certified by Voxigo? This is hardware that has been determined, in cooperation between the manufacturer or distributor and Voxigo, to work in combination with Voxigo telephony services. This is because Microsoft Lync operates differently from most SIP equipment. In the Voxigo Provisioning Interface, after the trunk has been created, the following settings must be entered under 'advanced configuration':Transport: TCPStatic IP: the public IP address of the Lync exchangePort: emptyRestrict IPs: the public IP address of the Lync exchangeNAT: yes (unless nat is not used, then no)Disallow: allAllow: ulawCanreinvite: noInsecure: inviteTrustrpid: yesFinally, you must submit a request via info@voxigo.nl (stating the trunk account number) to be able to connect to the Voxigo platform without a password. You can check in the Voxigo Provisioning Interface whether this change has already been implemented; the 'password' field will then be empty.Should you have any questions regarding this information, please feel free to contact us by email ( info@voxigo.nl ).
